Employee loyalty: Strengthened employee trust and enhanced Jimdo's attractiveness as an employer through transparency and fairness
Jimdo, a leading user-friendly website builder, empowers freelancers and small businesses to establish a strong online presence. With approximately 230 employees worldwide, Jimdo places great emphasis on transparent and fair HR policies that promote both internal and external equity.
Before implementing gradar, Jimdo faced challenges in manually researching and processing benchmarks for roles - but the lack of clear comparability between individual positions increased the risk of inaccurate benchmarking. It was essential to establish a consistent and transparent basis for salary decisions to ensure fair internal evaluations while maintaining external competitiveness.
Jimdo developed detailed job descriptions aligned with specific grading criteria, before evaluating over 100 roles and assigning suitable job codes. These job codes were then automatically linked to an external benchmark provider for seamless data integration. Finally, Jimdo used gradar to create job description templates and streamline the entire job grading process.
"With gradar, Jimdo has created a solid basis for a sustainable and future-proof HR policy. The combination of modern job evaluation, job descriptions and market data analyses made it possible to make well-founded salary decisions and to be perceived as a fair and competitive employer, both internally and externally."
